Darjeeling Christmas Trip – Women Only
About this trip
A women-only Christmas in the Queen of the Hills – tea gardens, a Tiger Hill sunrise, Mirik Lake and the India–Nepal border landscape, with a group that travels together.
We pick you up at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and drive up to Darjeeling for a festive Christmas evening on Chowrasta and Mall Road. Catch the sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill, see the toy train loop at Batasia, the old Ghoom Monastery and the Peace Pagoda, then spend a day among tea gardens, pine forests and the calm waters of Mirik Lake, with a stop at Simana Viewpoint overlooking Nepal.
Clean, comfortable stays in Darjeeling, breakfast and dinner every day, organised transport and a Sakhi Escapes trip coordinator throughout – with a group of like-minded women to share it all with.

- Christmas week brings heavy traffic on the NJP / Bagdogra – Darjeeling road; timings are approximate and sightseeing may be adjusted.
- Tiger Hill access, attraction timings and the Mirik route depend on weather, permits and local rules on the day.
- Crossing into Pashupati Market (Nepal) is optional and only for eligible Indian travellers with valid ID (Voter ID or Passport), subject to current border rules. It is not guaranteed.
- Book return trains / flights on 28 December for the afternoon or later, keeping a buffer for mountain-road delays.
- Late arrivals or missed pickups may need separate transport at your own cost.
