Escape to Chakrata, a quiet hill town in Uttarakhand surrounded by deodar forests, open meadows and Himalayan views.

This is a women-only group trip with a female Trip Captain, made for women who want to travel safely, make new friends and enjoy the mountains without the crowds.

We leave Delhi by night in an AC Tempo Traveller and wake up in the hills. Spend the day exploring Lokhandi, trekking through the forest to Moila Top and the mysterious Budher Caves, and end the evening with a Bollywood music night with your new travel sakhis.

What’s included and what’s not

Policies

• This is a women-only trip; male participants are not allowed.
• Carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence or passport). It is checked at the time of departure.
• Chakrata is a cantonment area. Foreign nationals need special permission, so please contact us before booking.
• Nights are cold, even in summer. Carry a warm jacket, cap and comfortable walking or trekking shoes.
• The Moila Top and Budher Caves walk is easy to moderate. Please tell your Trip Captain about any health condition before departure.
• Carry a small torch or use your phone light inside the caves.
• Mobile network is weak in many parts of Chakrata. Inform your family in advance.
• Smoking and alcohol are not allowed in the vehicle.
• Please reach the pickup point 15 minutes before departure. The vehicle cannot wait for late arrivals.
• The itinerary may change due to weather or road conditions, at the Trip Captain's decision.
